Britney Spears
Spears has sold over 100 million records worldwide. According to the Recording Industry Association of America is also recognized as the best-selling female artist of the first decade of the 21st century, as well as the fifth overall She was ranked the 8th Artist of the 2000s by Billboard.In June 2010, Spears was ranked sixth on Forbes list of the 100 Most Powerful and Influential celebrities in the world; she is also the third most mentioned musician on the internet, according to Forbes.
Britney Jean Spears was born on December 2, 1981, the second child of Lynne Irene (née Bridges) and James Parnell Spears. She is of English heritage through her maternal grandmother, who was born in London, and of distant Maltese descentHer siblings are Bryan James and Jamie Lynn. At age three, she started to attend dance lessons in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, and was selected to perform a solo at the annual recital. During her childhood, she also attended gymnastics and voice lessons, and won many state-level competitions and children's talent shows
Britney Spears made her local stage debut at age five, singing "What Child Is This?" at her kindergarten graduation. She said about her ambition as a child, "I was in my own world found out what I'm supposed to do at an early ageAt age eight, Spears and her mother Lynne traveled to Atlanta for an audition in the 1990s revival of The Mickey Mouse Club. Casting director Matt Cassella rejected her for being too young to join the series at the time, but introduced her to Nancy Carson, a New York City talent agent. Carson was impressed with Spears's vocals and suggested enrolling her at the Professional Performing Arts School; shortly after, Lynne and her daughters moved to a sublet apartment in New York.
Spears was hired for her first professional role as the understudy for the lead role of Tina Denmark in the Off-Broadway musical Ruthless!. She also appeared as a contestant on the popular television show Star Search, as well as being cast in a number of commercials In December 1992, she was finally cast in The Mickey Mouse Club, but returned to Kentwood after the show was cancelled. She enrolled at Parklane Academy in nearby McComb, Mississippi. Braless Britney Spears: Down in the Dumps
Looking as if she's a bit down in the dumps, an upset Britney Spears was spotted making her way inside the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Calabasas, California on Friday (June 11).
Wearing a tight pink dress sans bra, the "Gimme More" singer held hands with boyfriend Jason Trawick - who is rumored to have cheated on her with a former assistant.

source tells that all is not well when it comes to Britney progressing away from needing to be under a conservatorship.
The Pop Tarts insider dishes, “Britney is just beyond caring [about being under conservatorship now], she hasn’t progressed that much and is far from being able to accept the responsibilities of being an adult. She’s in a different world, might as well be on Mars. She has people around her that do everything for her, decisions for every little thing are made by her ‘people.’ She’s totally lost touch with reality.”

Britney Spears Steps Out Amidst Cheating Rumors
Stopping for an afternoon pick-me-up, Britney Spears was spotted leaving a Starbucks in Los Angeles, CA on Wednesday (June 9).
The “Circus” singer played it casual in flip-flops, jean shorts, and a beige tank top as she quickly exited the coffee shop and hurried to the safety of her vehicle.
Ms Spears never seems to be able to escape the vicious world of rumors, a source recently told Star magazine that Brit’s boyfriend, Jason Trawick, has been unfaithful to her with a girl named Jessica.
“Jason has been cheating on Britney with Jessica from the beginning of their relationship," a close friend of Jessica's told Star. "He has deceived Britney with his lies for too long, and somebody needs to tell her the truth, even if it hurts."

“If the deal goes ahead she will write between three and five books throughout the next decade - it’s one of the most lucrative book deals in showbiz history.
“Britney will talk frankly about growing up and how she went off the rails. It’ll be a gripping read.”
Gripping read, no doubt. Whatever happened to making a sex tape? She truly has fallen off track again.

tour it was very sedate.
“This is going to be a high-energy dance routine - getting back to what they are both good at: Performing.”
Madonna and Spears shocked fans when they puckered up for an on-stage kiss during their performance at the MTV VMAs in 2003. They also teamed up on a track, Me Against the Music, the same year.
