Where I'll Be At SXSW 2011. Most likely.

Just got this in my email:
Are you heading to SXSW this year? Am flying tomorrow, would be great to meet up if you are around, haven’t seen you for ages :-)
This is one of the reasons why I love SXSW.

It's the summer camp experience that I never had.

Day Camp
When I was little I went to day camp. I didn't want to go, but my parents made me.

I didn't learn how to play baseball, didn't learn how to swim, and didn't make any lasting friendships.

I only went for one year.

The things I remember:

1. Rowing a boat
2. Shooting a bow and arrow
3. Cooking a hot dog on a stick

There were much better family vacations after that experience, where I did learn how to swim and made great friendships, but baseball and I have never gotten along.

SXSW
Then came my SXSW experience.

SXSW People 2009

I learned a lot about video at SXSW Film, I learned how to schedule my time and how NOT to schedule it, and I made lifelong friends.

There are very good sessions at SXSW, and I encourage you to go to sessions where you don't know much about the topic. You will learn some things.

But...

The most important reason to go to SXSW is people.

SXSW is people!

My Schedule
So if you want to meet at SXSW, here's My Schedule:

Here's my Plancast page.

This schedule is subject to change.

Take a peek at what's next:

You could always buy a copy too:

Say Hi!
If you see me, say hi.

We might not see each other again.

I really don't want to see a tweet that says:

"@stevegarfield just walked past me in line."

"I just saw @stevegarfield, but he looked busy."

It's ok to come up and interrupt to say a quick hello. I want to meet you!

Lots of my schedule is fluid. This year I've been swamped with off site events and still need to spend some time looking at the schedule.

See you in Austin!
