THE HERO MENTALITY

THE HERO MENTALITY

We all want to look like the people we admire, be it that skinny girl in the corner with the great butt, or the guys in the magazines with 25 inch arms.
So the big conclusion is if I do what they do then it will work the same for me.
Let’s follow the latest routine in the magazines because that’s what the pros do, that’s how she got that tiny waist!
Wow lets train like john there he always looks fantastic he trains 20 hours a week so lets do that.
Well sorry to burst your bubble folks “I seem to be doing a bit of that lately” john over there was blessed with great genetics and it really doesn’t matter how john trains because he will always look good even if he trains in a not effective way, Jane with the small waist and tight buns always will have  tight buns and small waist even if she doesn’t do much training, great genetics.
As a coach I find the problem here is that a lot of these gifted people don’t train effectively because they don’t have to, that’s not saying they don’t train hard in fact they usually can train so hard that it would be certain overtraining for the rest of us mere mortals with average  genetics.
When I work with some one who is genetically elite (and I am coaching a couple at the moment) and apply the correct training systems to them, to see how they adapt and reach there genetic potential is truly amazing.
So the biggest guy in the gym or the fittest looking girl might not be the best people to copy a program from.
Where’s that leave us then?
Well looking for the correct principles to help us train properly so we are getting results.
Here are the training secrets I use to help THE GENETICALY AVERAGE

TRAINING SECRETS FOR SIZE AND STRENGTH GAINS
  1. You must get stronger to get bigger if you are not adding weight to the bar across the year your not getting bigger
  2. training body parts less then  twice a week will not give you optimal gains I prefer 3 time with lower intensity on the third, ,save once a week body part training for pros and the genetically elite
  3. When in doubt do LESS volume not more, you don’t need tons of sets to promote hypertrophy, the stuff written in magazines to the contrary is rubbish.
  4.  Generally basic compound exercises are best, Isolation exercises have there place
  5. If you think you can gain muscle without eating enough food or calories you’re wrong. You can’t magically make muscle out of nothing, you need calories and protein to grow .don’t complain your not hungry, eat or stay skinny.
  6. Most people not getting results don’t train the correct routines and don’t eat enough
  7. Eat whole foods with heaps of vegies every day
  8. Proteins have different uses casein for dieting and bed time, isolate around training time.
  9.  The equation is this:
Hard Work + Consistency + Time = Results

WEIGHT LOSS SECRETS
  1. You can’t magically lose weight unless you eat less or burn more calories with activity.
  2. Don’t complain about how much you hate dieting or exercise. You can either change your diet and activity patterns, or you can stay over weight. Those are your two options,.
  3. All weight loss plans revolve around eating less or increasing activity even if they say they don’t.
  4. Its difficult to do by your self so contact a professional to help you, just pick the right one
