Joby Gorillapod Cold Shoe to Cold Shoe Adapter

I recently purchased the Joby Gorillapod Mobile kit.



It's supposed to be perfect for your GPS, but I'm trying to attach a Nokia N8 with OVI Maps to my dashboard.

Here's the Nokia N8 with the adhesive clip.



Here's a suction clip that can attach to the speedometer.



The problem is that I can't get the two adapters to attach to each other.



If I could get two of the connectors that are on top of the Joby gorillapod, attached to each other, back to back, that would be perfect.

I've also been looking into using two standard camera cold shoes, and attaching those back to back.

Any ideas?

Hey look, this SIMA light I have has cold shoe adapters on each side.



This is a cool workaround, but I'm still looking for a better solution.

Found what I needed at B&H, Cold Shoe 1. A little pricey.

I need to see if I've got any old cameras around that I can take the hot shoe off of.
